I've attached a small VI that counts the running time when the Boolean control is True. If False, it pauses the counting and resumes from the paused number when returned to True.

Where else can I place my wait time that will work on delaying the fan override function but yet effect on the emergency stop or off button?

I'm happy if you could use any of our suggestions in your application. However, it seems that you need more help writing your VI than troubleshooting certain issues. This approach is not efficient for any of us.

Therefore I will suggest that you don't post a question until you have tried different solutions to solve it, and in that case specify what your procedure was and which part didn't act as you expected. This approach will make it much easier for us to give you the best solution.

Hi Travis,

I was looking over this post in reagrds to a question I had about the elasped time vi you posted. I would like to use it in my own vi, however I'd like to have the Elasped Time (from the express vi) displayed in a hour:minutes:second format. That is if 10 seconds have passed it would be displayed as 00:00:10 or if an hour and a half has elasped it would be 01:30:00 and so on. I tried wiring the format date/time string function to this, and adjusting it so it would display properly, but even if the elasped time is under an hour, I still get a "1" in the hour position. (I had to add 180000 to the seconds to get the time to be displayed in this manner, else the function didn't seem to work right.)

Any ideas on how I can get the seconds to be displayed in the manner I would like?

I'm using LV 7.0.

In the future, try to start a new thread for new questions so that it wont be 'lost' in the original thread.
