What do you mean by "you'd get fired" ? Are you joking ?

Cory K, I'm thrilled to hear your solution....

Not joking.

I code LV for a living and giving away code is a no-no.

I am allowed to answer questions but coding to spec, that requires a purchase order.

Sorry Keno, I got a little wrapped up at work.

I have something in mind, I'll see if I can show you an example this afternoon.

Hey Keno,

Dave actually beat me to what I was going to show you Smiley Tongue

But in any event, I guess I'll show you what I was talking about anyway.

In my example, when you are not recording data, the line will be solid red.

When you are recording, it will be dashed red.

It is very similar to what Dave did... almost a full day before me Smiley Sad

Interesting... Ben - I have no idea how many of your posts I've read yet I've never before noticed how rarely you attach code.

It just goes to show how valuable a few well worded hints can be.

Thanks,

Ian

True!

I have been blessed in that I have sat at the feet of some of the greatest minds. I once worked for a guy that was a Warrent Officer 4 (requires an act of congress) that used to leave me dancing just watching him do his thing. I remeber two manager fighting over some issue and the went to the WO4 to answer the question. He never did. Instead he asked questions and let them answer their own question.

"Ron Davis" one of the greaest men I have ever met.
