Hello,
I have recently shifted from LabView 8.6 to LabView 2009 and am now facing the following problem regarding a few old image aquisition VIs I wrote.
To aquire images, I use an IEEE1394 (FireWire) camera. To use it, I had installed the Vision Aquisition 8.6.1 package, which had run perfectly fine under LabView 8.6. Following my shift to LabView 2009, however, the SubVIs that grabbed/snapped images and configured/opened/closed the camera connection failed to work. And the Vision Aquisition package (as of Nov. 2009) doesn't offer equal applications, as the configuration and opening/closing operations to 1394 cameras were performed by specialized routines (ImaqClose1394, e.g.).
What do I need to do to gain access to my camera again - is there a specialized driver package to be installed, or are the 1394 operations performed by the IMAQdx package now?
Regards,

I had thought so, therefor I installed VAQ 2009.
Maybe I should make that clear again: My problem is whether there are equivalent routines in VAQ 2009 for the Legacy IMAQ 1394 routines implemented in VAQ 8.6.1.
Thanks
