Does the microphone even has an adjustable sound level? It might just sample, and then leave it to the software to adjust the signal. I'm not sure if there is a hardware gain...
If you can do it in Windows, you'll be probably able to do it through an API.

Unfortunately, there is no native way in LabVIEW to set the volume of a microphone.
I suggest you to read the documentation of the audio device that you have. They might have a .dll to do. If not, you will need a wrapper from .net to LabVIEW.

Is there any way to access an audio device in LabView using .NET without 3rd party software?

What Assembly and Object do I need to use?

I know that it should be possible, but I never did that myself.
I prefer use DAQ since the frequency and precision are much better.

Usually when a duplicate post is reported, it refers to a new thread posted twice.
If you created a duplicate thread, you can get it removed by reporting it to a moderator (under options).
I did not know you could delete it yourself, but if so that would work too.
I see only one post, so I guess the "dupe post" was redundant and confusing. But never mind, no harm done.
