Did you mean:

searching *.llb's

There is a Labview post for code that will search *.llb as directories:

Only problem is it doesn't seem to work?  For example what *llb is the "Blackman Window.vi" in?

Hey,

Maybe you don't be able to find the blackman window becaus you are running a LabVIEW Base Dev System, where this VI is not included.

Otherwise you will find it within the functions palette under Signal Processing>Windows

I have the full development system.  I tried running the sample code on vi's I know are there and it doesn't seem to work.  Also the problem is not finding the vi. in the pallet.  SS

Hey,

In the FDS it should be included so it seems that something has gone wrong with your LabVIEW installation. I would recommend to repair LabVIEW under the Add/Remove Software section of the Windows Control Panel.

Where is it normally located in the Labview directory and in which dll?  But this still doesn't answer why I can search any existing *vi with the tool provided by NI.

I mis-typed, meant to say:

"Where is it normally located in the Labview directory and in which dll?  But this still doesn't answer why I can't search any existing *vi with the tool provided by NI."

I guess I'll answer my own question:  The blackman windowing functions are located under C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\vi.lib\Analysis\4window.llb

Hey,

Excuse me for the late response but I'm out of office this days. So as I can see you found the answer by yourself!

I have similar problems using window file search utilities can not look inside llb

The attached utility will create a folder in the parent directory of the llb file and add names of llb files to the created folder for example "C:\temp\LLB_Contents"

where temp had an .llb file.

Once the LLB_Contents folder is created by the utility, normal window search functions or programs can be used to locate files
