what is comparative pulse excitation of bridges

I have heard of a load cell measurement technique that involves a DC pulse injected into the excitation leads and comparing the signal output to the input for bridge reading.

Can anyone shed some light on this technique?  Can it be done in LabView with NI equipment?

Hello Windserver

I am not familiar with this type of load cell measurement.  If you could provide me with more information about it I might be able to be of more assistance.

Depending on the exact requirements, we do have hardware that could be used to perform what you have described.  For instants you could use a digital pulse generated from one of our DAQ cards, and send it to the load cell, then measure its response using an analog input.  Without having the specifications needed to accurately measure this response it is difficult to recommend a specific piece of hardware to use in this application.

Hello My Friend:

It seems like your question coming from the experiment lab in the University. If I understand you correctly, you are dealing with energy convolutions subject here, and advance subject as well. You are discussing about Laplace transform, and phase. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Whether you can use NI equipment or custom build is depend on the type of the load. If you can share your details on what you are trying to do, I can help you better.

Joe

Have a wonderful day.
