centering panel titles

When I'm setting up my panel attributes, I double click on the panel to open up the "Edit Panel" box. Then I click on the Title Style button to open the "Edit Title Attributes" box. The justification box is set to Left and is dimmed - i.e. uneditable. I would like to center my Panel Title. How do I do this? Is there some other setting I need to change that will then allow modifying the justification setting?

Also, when I'm editing the panels it shows the titles centered. But when I compile and run my program the titles are left justified.

Thanks! I know this sounds like a rookie question. I've been using CVI for several years and never noticed this problem before.

It's not clear to me if you're talking about panels or child panels...

For regular panels, the title is entered as indicated below (Panel title). Also, the preview is correct, i.e. the panel title is left centered. This justification cannot be changed.

There is a trick to achieve sort of centered panel titles: Enter sufficient spaces before the panel title Smiley Wink

Wolfgang,

Well I guess I was talking about panels but my problem description was referring to the "Title Style" button in the Attributes for Child Panels box.

However, when I am editing my panels, the titles show up centered. But when I compile and run the program they show up left justified.

I used your trick and got them center by adding spaces. It looks wrong in the editor but correct when I run.

Thank you for your help.

Gwen

The reason for this lies in Title Bar Style parameter: if you set Classic style the title will appear centerd in the preview box, whereas it will be left alignes if selecting Windows style; nevertheless, as you can see in the decoration surrounding these attributes, this applies to child panels only.

Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.
