Hi,
my new task is to measure a magnetic field up to 2-3 Tesla and i wanted to ask whether someone can advice hardware (Hall Probe+DAQ hardware or stand alone Teslameter)?
best regards
Norbert

Hi Norbert,
we have a lot of devices for measuring voltage. Which one to choose depends on which platform you prefer (PCI, PXI, USB)
and which accuracy you need. I assume you also need an external voltage supply for the sensor?
So the hardware needs to provide this too.
You will find a hardware overview here: https://www.ni.com/en/shop/data-acquisition.html

Hi Diana,
i know the NI Meas. hardware, but it seems to be really difficult to find a probe with complete application notes for this task.
As platform USB and PCI would fit perfect.

Hi Norbert,
what does the output of your sensor look like? Is it TTL? Which range is the signal measured in volts?

oh, there is a misunderstanding,
i have the task to measure and control the field, but at the moment i only have a big FuG Power supply and a hugh magnet. At the moment i am searching a measurement system to do this, especially a probe. You can buy a lot of probes, but the belong always to a special measurement unit and there is no documentation or application notes.
It is also possible to buy these stand-alone measurement system with probe and a GPIB interface, but these solution is really expensive.
best regards.

Ah I understand. But National Instruments only provides measurement hardware but not probes.
So when you have a concrete probe we can advise a hardware.

i know this fact, but i thought this is a user forum and someone else have already solved such a problem and could tell me a solution.
best regards

ok i have found a sensor
http://www.cunz.de/documents/FWB-GH-series-en.pdf
the GH-600, which NI hardware do i need, when i want to exclude an additional current source?
best regards

Hi Norbert,
maybe this board would fit: https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/model.pci-6281.html
It can output 5mA and measure voltage with high precision.

Hello
Take a look of www.senis.ch
There is possible to find a 3D magnetic field probe integrated with USB DAQ
