Some NI-Motion boards were inadvertently released from manufacturing without a serial number or with zero as a serial number. These boards do not show up in MAX with NI-Motion 7.0 or 7.1 and do not work correctly in later versions of NI-Motion.
If your board is one of those that were shipped without a serial number it still should be present in the Windows device manager. If it's also not found there then the board is probably damaged and you should contact your local NI branch for a repair.
For the case that the board is found in the device manager please follow the steps described in this document in our knowledge base. If the board doesn't show up in the device manager you could also test it in another PC first before sending it for repair.
