Hi there,
I tried installing the driver for daqmx downloaded from
NI website to redhat enterprise 9 along with labview
8.0.
I have two problems when I tried setting up my daqmx
system:
1)When I load my daqmx .vi files created from windows it
keeps on asking me for location of "nilvaiu.so". I tried
searching the whole linux drive for the above file but no
luck.
2) When it couldn't find the file, I click on cancel to
skip the files to continue loading the library like daqmx
timing.vi, daq mx reading.vi .... and then my program
won't run probably. It keeps on giving errors about
corruption of polymorphic of subvi and vi files.
Is this because the file "nilvaiu.so" is missing or is it
because of something else?
Your response will be much appreciated,
Thanks

Hello,
The nilvaiu.so file you mentioned is required by LabVIEW to use DAQmx. It
might also be called libnilvaiu.so.
Are you able to run any of the DAQmx shipping examples, or create a new DAQmx application on your Linux machine?
If you are creating LabVIEW VIs on a windows machine that use DAQmx and transferring
them to your Linux machine you need to have DAQmx 8.0 or greater installed on
your windows machine. If you already have DAQmx 8.0 installed on your
windows machine, and are still not able to open your VI on your Linux machine
you might have a corrupt or incomplete installation of DAQmx on your Linux
machine. To fix this you might try reinstalling DAQmx.
