Follow-Me & Connection Machine Grayed

I keep running into a situation where the Follow-Me & Connection Manager become grayed out. I can add items like graphics, etc.. but not able to add the traces. After I fiddle around moving things, etc... it sometiems enables the follow-me and Connection manager. Why is it acting in this behavior? I'm sure I am doing something wrong but would be nice to understand what. Thank you for any information.

Hi Qbasic8,

You can check to see which is your active layer. In order for the routing to take place, your copper layer has to be the active one. Try to make the copper top or bottom the active layer and see if the routing options become available.
