My Ultiboard (Ver 5.61) crashes after I open it with the following error message:
An Error Occured!
Exception nr: 0xC0000005, STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION
Address: 0x442735
What can I do to get it up and running?
Thanks for help

Hello SXHugo,
yes, you are 5 versions behind. Like me. I am still working with 5.72, because since V6 (UB2001) everything is completly different but unfortunately not better.
I can not help you with my limited english, but you should explain a little bit more what you are doing before the error occurs.
Greetings,
Lutz

Unfortunaely, I am not going to be of any assistance with Version 5.61. Although I did at one time have this version it was many years ago, and it has since been removed from my previous computers and I don't even know where the discs went.
What I can suggest is maybe posting your file if that is posssible. It sounds like LODIN may be able to load it and see what is occurring if he is willing to try. Using UB10 to try and figure out what is happening would be of no use to you and Version 10 is all I have.
I hope someone can give you some help with this, but it is a very antique version of UB. It may work just as good or if not better than 10, but the support is more or less gone for it.
I wish you good luck in finding what is happening.

I used V5.61 since about 10 years without any problem. Why shoul I by an new version with a lot on new functionality and a very high price?
I was happy with v5.61
I installed it on an other system and it run's - but ony once. The second time I started it - it also crashed. Then I restored the system (Win XP) to a time in the past - and I could start it again - one time!
When I start it, the main window opens and it asks 'Please select a product class'. After pressing 'OK' it crashes.
Thanks,
SXHugo

Hello SXHugo,
I know what you mean with the newer versions
I had often the feeling, that Ultimate 5.xx has problems with not correct paths. But I don't know anything exactly. Did you try to start an existing PCB by a double click ? If Ultimate starts, check the paths in "options/files&paths".
Sorry, but that my only ideas at this moment.
Best regards,
Lutz

Hello Lodin,
No, I still looking for a solution or an alternative. Maybe I switch to Eagle.
Are you from Germany? (I am).
Thanks,
