Solution for crash of Ultiboard 5.61 under Win XP (this likely pertains to SP 2 onwards):
Go to:
Control Panel/Performance & Maintenance/System/Advanced/Data Execution Prevention
make the selection so you can specify Ultiboard (ubwin) as a program to be excluded from DEP.
Back out of Control Panel - Reboot
'puters with hardware DEP may need to be optioned elsewhere, and it may be that 64bit programs can't be excepted from DEP
