Linux NI device drivers

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi everyone,
I tried to install 2020 Ni Linux drivers on this page : https://www.ni.com/fr-fr/support/downloads/drivers/download.ni-linux-device-drivers.html#350003

I have a distribution based on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
I installed the ni-software-2020-bionic_20.1.0.49152-0+f0_all.deb package and launch the
"sudo apt update" command. I got the following error :

Err :7 https://download.ni.com/ni-linux-desktop/2020.07/deb/ni/bionic bionic Release
Certificate verification failed: The certificate is NOT trusted. The certificate issuer is unknown. Could not handshake: Error in the certificate verification. [IP : 104.16.190.245 443]

Do you have problems with your certificates ?
Best regards,
Antoine

Hi Antoine,

There was a small issue with the certificate, but it should be fixed now. Could you try running apt update again?

Thank you for making us aware of the issue!

Chris

Hello,

I also had this issue which has been resolved now.

I've installed the nidaq-mx on a Ubuntu 18.04, using instruction below here:

https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/documentation/supplemental/18/downloading-and-installing-ni-driver-...

However, when I plug in my device it is not being recognized.

Is there any solution to this?

I'm working with USB-4432 for microphone data acquisition.

Best,

Meron

I'm having trouble getting my LabVIEW 2020 install to recognize the DAQmx install.  I've installed on openSUSE 15.1, using the Linux instructions:

https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/documentation/supplemental/18/downloading-and-installing-ni-driver-...

But I'm also curious how you use the ubuntu version of these drivers... if ubuntu is not supported yet in LabVIEW.  I'm dual booting ubuntu/openSUSE for this express reason.

Thanks,

Greg
