error during self calibration - PXI-4461

Andrew,

I am running LabView 7.1.  This VI was created in ver 8.2 and won't run on my system.

Where do the drivers come from to talk to the PXI cards?  Are they part of Cal Exec? Is it possible that I have an out of date or missing driver?  I believe that Ni-DAQmx ver 8.3.1 is installed as well.

Thanks

Richard

Hi Richard,

I've attached the 7.1 version of the VI. The only driver you should need for the 4461 is the DAQmx driver, and 8.3.1 should be fine. Let me know how it goes.

I get some errors when trying to run the VI stating that some sub and poly VI's are broken or not executable.

How do you include screen captures or attach files in this forum?

Richard,

I've attached another copy built straight from LV 7.1. It should run. If it doesn't, you probably have some issues with your driver. You can modify the Acq&Graph Voltage Int clk.vi example from example finder to work. It should just require adding a property node.

If the examples don't work, its time to reinstall the DAQmx driver. Just to check, does a loop back test (AI to AO) work in MAX? To attach files/screenshots, you can browse to the file from the Attachment section just below where you are typing text.

Hi Andrew,

Do you have any idea regarding this error?

Error-200717.png

This is in case of PXI-4472?

Thanks!

Hi lukko,

I'm assuming this self-calibrate is being done in MAX, correct? Does this device pass the self-test? Does this error occur on multiple cards? Have you tried searching for any bent pins, updating the DAQmx drivers, changing slots or changing chassis?

Hi Carisa,

Thanks for the reply.

That is correct, I use self-calibrate feature in MAX. I have actually 3 PXI-4472 boards bought at the same time but only one of those cannot go through the self-calibrate procedure. The board can pass the self-test and is capable of doing acquisition. I also tried to change the slots as well as the chassis. I use the newest (I think) DAQmx in version 9.5.1f1. Still I have the same Error-200717.

In general the systematic error is not so high and for my application is enough however I would like to have everything working correctly. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Best regards,

Hi Lukasz,

Thanks so much for answering my questions. After some further research it seems like there is an internal hardware issue (potentially a fuse) and the card should be sent in for repair in order to clear the 200717 error. Hope this helps answer your question.

Thanks,

Hello, Carisa and colleagues!

Have some problem for PXI-4461 (with PXI-8101 controller + PXI-1042 chassis) :

in MAX  into PXI-4461 tab doing:

1) self-test: ok!

2) self-calibration: error -200717

Measurement taken during calibration produced an invalid AI offset calibration constant.

If performing an external calibration, ensure that .........................................

Carisa and colleagues, how can clear this error without " ni technical center"?

Thank you:)

Hi Andrey_Z,

In all cases like this that I've seen, it was necessary to send in the card for repair. There is not a way to clear it persay.

Thanks,
