GPS L2 & L5 Bands

dears,

I need to Konw what is the Difference Between L1 Band and L2&L5 Bands, and why the GPS Simulator didnt Support these Bands?

and is L1 is the Only Commercial Band?

Hi Ahmed,

L1 band is the primary GPS Signal. It consists of C/A code and P code. L1 C/A code is used for civilian applications while P code is required for military applications. L2 band too consists of P code. L2 Civil and L5 signals are the Mordernized GPS Signals which will be supported by the new GPS satellites.

Currently we just support C/A code on L1 band because of it's use in civilian applications.

You are most welcome. We are not completely sure about the support for these systems yet. 

Would you be able to give me some information about your requirement and application? That would be a great feedback for us as we add more features to GPS Toolkit in future.

Thanks, I am Working on a Deal In the Egyptian Market with The NI Rep. Engineer in Egypt, But the Customer Need to Know is it Possible for this System To Be Upgarde to L2 & L5 Bands (as you Mentioned as they are a New Bands and Not Released Yet, and they will be working with the new GPS Satt.), so Please can you Give me a Confirmation about the Possibility for Doing this Upgrade on the Current System (as it will be a Very Effective Decision in this Deal).

A new Input Coming Now, The Customer Ask about the GLONASS, Can our system Support the GLONASS in the Future, Please this is an Important Issue More than The L2 & L5.
