That's the software on the cRIO, I was referring to software installed on your host machine. (My System in MAX) The FPGA Module is an add-on to LabVIEW like the Real-Time Module, it has to be installed separately.

That's it :

The other errors appear to be due to wiring invalid data types together. I believe you should be able to double click the error to highlight the problem. Let us know what you find.

Hi
I've attached images (.png):
1- my project explorer
2- diagram of "serial loopback DMA (Host).vi"
3- errors list of "serial loopback DMA (Host).vi"

It looks like you haven't linked a FPGA bit file, VI, or build specification to the Open FPGA reference.
For your reference there is a lot of good information for first time users of the FPGA module here.

I have attached the first image showing that i have linked an FPGA Bitfile VI to the Open FPGA reference.
I can't drag the port from the project window into the FPGA diagram!! i don't know why!!
I think that something got messed up when i copied the example. Is there some rules to follow for copying??
should i restart?

Hey moonm,
I looking into your question and curious if you are pointing to an old bit file? Could you try checking your hardware configuration and make sure your IP addresses in your project reflects what is seen in Measurement & Automation Explorer under remote systems, then recompile your bit file and point to it. Also when you opened the project posted by Zach did the project open without any errors or warnings?

Hi Beau H
I dont understand your question about "if i'm pointing to an old bitfile" !?
And after i moved the example to my project i didnt recompile my FPGA target vi because i dont know how recompile it !?
Also when i opened the project posted by Zach i find in all VIs warnings : has been deleted, renamed, or moved on disk

Can you help how recompile my bit file and point to it ??

Hey moonm,
It still looks like you are missing some files, could you run the LabVIEW Repair, go to Control Panel » National Instruments Software » LabVIEW <Version> and select repair, that should re-add any missing example files that may have been removed.
Now go back to the NI Example Finder and open the NI-987x Serial Loopback.lvproj and follow the steps listed http://www.ni.com/white-paper/5075/en configure the example for your specific target.
