LabVIEW does not allow me to add SBRIO to project, but SBRIO shows up in MAX

Ruhmann I'm thinking that might be the case. I'm guessing everything hasn't properly been installed. I'll update this after I install NI-RIO 3.3.1. I'm currently uninstalling NI-RIO 3.2.1.

Seeing that last screenshot, I'm confident that Rhumann is correct.  You do have NI-RIO installed, but it looks like it was installed before LabVIEW 2009, so the installer did not install the components necessary to support LabVIEW 2009.  If you run the NI-RIO installer again, it will not reinstall everything, but you can ensure that the check box for LabVIEW 2009 support is checked to get the support you need.  When it is installed correctly, you should see CompactRIO and NI Single-Board RIO as target types in the Add Target dialog boxes.

Sorry to hear about your problems.  You should be seeing  more targets, with SBRIO showing up as a target.

Have you reinstalled the software, in particular the NI RIO?

I am attaching a scrren shot of the targets that my set up shows.

So what actually happened is that I downloaded the 64-bit version of LabVIEW 2009, and then installed NI-RIO (which had no compatibility with LabVIEW 2009 64-bit). After installing LabVIEW again because I found out that I'd need LabVIEW 2009 32-bit to work with the FPGA and RT 2009 modules NI-RIO compatibility was absent from LabVIEW because of the earlier 64-bit fiasco. Thanks for the help.

Please warn users that there is no 64-bit LabVIEW support for any of your other software products.

That's a good idea Mahir.  We will look into adding a warning to the installer if LabVIEW 64-bit is detected on the system.  Thanks for the feedback!
