RT get CPU loads

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm using "RT get CPU loads" on a cRIO-9004 and it outputs only NaN and no error.

It worked on a cRIO-9014. Using Labview 9.

Hi Snamprogetti,

unfortunately I get your behaviuor too. I find that this NAN is also provided on Distributed System Manager.

I report this incorrect behaviour to R&D but, for now, there is nothing new that we can do.

I'm sorry.

Hi,

Check out this article here , Try enabling microsecontimingmode=1 and then check whether it is working. There is already a CAR filed on this behavior.Hope it helps

OK, now it works. Also, it is good to know how to sync the system time.

The total CPU usage with controller doing nothing (except for getting CPU loads every second) is now 10%, i hope this is normal

Hi,

As suggested in the KB, there is always an overhead of synchronizing and enabling the microsecond timer. That is the reason it is not enabled by default.
