My problem is I get the following error when running any program on a NI-cRIO9012

Target Specific Error Encountered

A driver for the target returned the following error.

Error Code:-5003

A selector -usually of an enumerated type- is inappropriate or out of range. The operation could not be completed as specified

I am currently running Labview version 8.2

I have downloaded the NI-RIO 2.3.1 October 2007 update and installed on my machine, I did this because I needed support for the NI9403 Module and my current install DVD from Fall2006 did not support this module.

 

I believe that my problem lies with the software on the NI-cRIO9012 not supporting the new NI9403 Module. But I am unable to download new software to the NI-cRIO9012 because I do not have Labview 8.5.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can get the NI9403 Module?

It looks like  you just need to instal LVRT 8.2.x and the rest of the drivers to your controller.  You'll have to use the Custom Install option from the Software Install Page as there was not a Gold Software Stack for cRIO-901x controllers in LabVIEW 8.2.1.  The 9403 module was supported in LabVIEW FPGA 8.2.1.  You can check other modules on the Software Support For cRIO Hardware Page.
