connecting to real time system

Hello,

I have a PXI real time system. I am trying to connect from my host computer to the real time system. When try to connect from project it is not connecting even though I was able to connect in MAX. Other times I was not able to connect in MAX also but I was able to ping from my host computer to the real time system. Could any one explain what might be happening.

Hi Mudda,

When you state that when you try to connect to your target in the project, it does not connect- what kind of error do you get?  Are you able to see your existing target when you go to add an existing target to your project window?  Furthermore are you able to add the device manually and insert the IP address for the target?   how are you connecting to the target- with a crossover cable, hub, switch?

Finally, what type of controller do you have and what version of LV and LVRT do you have?
