PCI-5421 Error 88302

When I try to run the self test fo the PCI-5421 in MAX, I get the 88302 error.  I tried all of the things listed in the Discussion Forum.  I am an administrator on the PC (Windows XP).  First, I tried renaming the max/data folder.  Then I tried "repairing" NI-DAQmx.  Next, I downloaded and install the latest versions of DAQmx and FGEN.  Finally I removed all the software and re-installed it.  The error still occurs.

Thanks,

Wade

Hi Wade,

This is typically an error that comes from a missing component from the driver, or a corrupt driver install.  You seem to have ran though all of the suggested workarounds for this issue.  Did any of your software installations come from a CD?  If so, try downloading it from the web instead and installing from there.  Do you have another computer system you can try out this hardware on?  This might show us different results, and also clarify if it is a board issue or system issue.

If none of the above steps work, there are two options that I would recommend.  One is calling into Tech Support and letting them know about this error.  They can help you further with this issue and suggest a more thorough way to clean out your system to reinstall software.  The second option is to reformat your machine.  Backing up your important files and reinstalling will take some time, but it would be quicker if troubleshooting takes time.
