Hello,
We have a non-working roborio. It doesn't start at all, seems like it's broken. It has never been used as we got it like that. Can you help us fix it? Thank you.

Hi Vinitas1900,
This is Matthew from NI. Thank you for posting on the forums.
Is this the original roboRIO (has a National Instruments logo and a LabVIEW logo), or a roboRIO V2 (has an NI logo and says roboRIO 2.0 on it)?
Have you applied 12V with the correct polarity from a PDP to the power pins?

Yes, it is the original one. And yes we tried everything, nothing worked. Thank you for responding.

Can you verify the power supply is outputting 12V across the leads (like with a multimeter) you are attaching to the roboRIO?
And to clarify, the behavior your seeing (or lack thereof) is absolutely no lights when power is provided?

Exactly. We have tried many times with different mentors, nobody could figure it out.

Can you post pictures of the setup?
It's extremely unlikely that a unit was shipped dead on arrival, so I'm trying to rule out electrical problems first.

Don't know what the problem is but when we replaced the roborio (with a working one), everything worked fine.

hmmmm, well that does indicate either the wiring at the roboRIO or the roboRIO itself.
I've sent an email to the address listed on your account with next steps.

Matthew, I do not see a serial number here. It was a part of kiit of parts from Andy Mark.

I send the serial number in the email.
