Hi all,
During drive practice recently, the power light on our RoboRIO 2.0 turned solid red. After removing it from our robot, we first inspected it visually, then opened the case to inspect the internals. We did not see much but blew out the internals with compressed air and reassembled. Symptoms persisted, so we then measured the voltage on each of the DIO, Analog, and PWM power rails. The DIO and Analog rails are normal at 5V, but the PWM power rail measures 10mV. With the power off, the resistance between power and ground rails on the PWM bus is essentially 0.
Any further steps we can take to debug further or attempt a fix?
Thanks,
Alan

Hi,
This is Thays from NI.
These are generally caused by metal shavings falling inside the case. You can clear this by trying any of the following steps:

Hi Thays,
Thanks for responding.
We've tried these steps and have not yet found any shavings and the symptoms still persist. Will give it another go, but assuming we continue to have this problem, is there anything else we can try?
Thanks,
Alan
