Let the user scroll inside string constant

Status: Declined

Moved to CAR database: CAR 598986

The scroll bar in the string constant is literally useless since whenever I try to scroll things inside the string constant the constant moves and not the content. So it would be good if the user focuses the mouse pointer in scrollbar and makes a click the string constant should not be selected letting the user to scroll the text inside the string constant.

Looks more like a bug in LV2015.  LV 2013 works fine. Please ignore this

And that bug is fixed in LV 2016.

From what I can tell, it is not fixed in LabVIEW 2016. I have filed a CAR and will decline this idea post.

Doh... that was DUMB... I tested LV 2015... and then I tested LV 2013, just like the user did. I somehow reordered my shortcuts in my menu. Yes, it is still broke in 2016, although the scroll wheel does work.

Some months ago, I reported this unexpected behaviour.

CAR 598986 was fixed in LabVIEW 2017. See the 2017 LabVIEW Bug Fix List for details: https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/bugs/17/labview-2017-bug-fixes.html
