Hello MSARIKOC,
For the Example Finder to run properly, the NI Service Locator and the Help Server should be running. These services open TCP/IP ports to communicate with NI Example Finder and the LabVIEW Help. So I would suggest restarting these services.
You can restart the Service Locator by opening up the Windows Services window by going to Start » Control Panel » Administrative Tools » Services. In the list of services you should see: NI Service Locator. To restart this service, right-click on the entry and select Stop. Wait a minute until the service has stopped and then right-click and select Start. Restart LabVIEW and see if you can launch the example finder.
In order to enable the HelpServer, navigate to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\resource\system and run the HelpServer.llb. On the front panel of the Set HelpServer Config Settings__NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS.vi you will see a boolean control to enable the server. Turn this switch on and run the VI. The LED indicator in the HelpServer.vi will turn on.
Also, try the suggestions given
here (last 3 lines):
You do have the examples installed at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\examples, correct?
Best of luck!
