After removing that offending KB from my Windows 10 Pro, I was able to open examples through LabVIEW help once again.
Thanks!!

Frustrating this bug is.
Windows Update have once again corrupted my LabVIEW Help system by installing yet another sequrity update, KB4471324.
However this time around, all my attemts uninstalling KB4471324 sequrity update have "failed" on my Windows 10 system.
Any suggestions ?

What do you mean by "failed"? Did it tell you it couldn't be removed or did it fail while trying to remove it?

Hello,
I have the same problem with windows10 and the script to access the help of labview 2011 and 2018.
I uninstalled KB4462919 successfully but the problem of scipt is still present!
The KB4471324 was not installed on my PC and the problem persists ...
No problem with NXG 3.0 whose help points to a web page ...
I can also access the examples by the direct way: 'Somehow I do not seem to get the script error if I open the labview help file "directly" from my file manager: ...'
I just made the October update "windows 1809" but the problem persists.

I have seen LabVIEW Examples stop working, as well. In my case, it appears to have arisen from a corrupted installation of LabVIEW 2017 or 2018, which I initially blamed (probably incorrectly) on NIPM, but may have been my own fault for using an "unofficial" LabVIEW 2016 patch. (
The key symptom and probable "cause" of the problem was that at least a third of the NI Services that should have been running on my system had "disappeared", and were not showing up in the Services list (Itypically have 19 of them running). In particular, the NI Service Locator was not present. It had nothing to do with Windows Updates (in my case) -- rather I "blew out" some NI Services by doing a LabVIEW Installation. [The fix was to uninstall all NI Software and do a "one version" Install].

I'm certain I've had this problem in the past, so I don't think the mentioned October patch is the only patch that has caused this. I would wager it has come and gone if we are to test all patches chronologically. I do wonder what's the cause in more detail though.

I can guarantee the problem hasn't come and gone. It is still here.

I think I've seen it too - a couple of times between Win XP and now - and they seemed to resolve themselves. (I know they didn't really resolve themselves - something changed, but I wasn't aware what did.)

Hello,
Labview 2011 has been installed for quite some time in high school and I have never had a problem with this sript on these PC students who are up to date.
I have this problem since installing LV 2018 and NXG on my personal workstations.
Maybe a link with these installations of more recent versions ...
