Hi Brad
I use this driver under windows xp sp3 simple chinese version after download this dll ,It work very well but property page title display not correct ,please fix it ,thanks.

The NI-IMAQ for USB simply calls the camera driver to display their image/video property pages. There's nothing I can do about that. You'd have to talk with the camera vendor to see if they have a localized driver with their property pages localized.
Sorry.

Hello,
The C.a.p.t.u.r.e. should be fine, so there's something else wrong. Fortunately I am happy to announce that our latest Vision Acquisition driver will have official USB support. It should be on-line in the next week or two and you'll can find it here (Vision Acquisition 2009):
http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/fn/p/sn/n23:13.79.7820/lang/en
This will fix all the problems with localization, having multiple cameras acquire at the same time, works with latest LabVIEW, snap won't leak, etc. It'll show up in MAX and can even be used in the other development environments we support (MSVC, VB, .NET, etc.). The driver you are using wasn't ever officially supported and will no longer have any development done on it since the new USB support included in our Vision Acquisition driver will be supported and any issues in this driver will be addressed. I would recommend trying this driver when it's available.
Thanks,
Brad

You should mention that the Vision Acqusition Drivers will require a valid runtime license to run on non development systems where no NI hardware is used. Or is this going to change for the USB interface?

Dear Brad,
i'm using now till now "USB driver for IMAQ" for free, and IMAQ for vision routines, paying for it.
Do you think they will give me IMAQdx as an upgrade of IMAQ, or i will have to pay double?
Only to have USB that now it's free, still not completely supported...
The runtimes licences that now i'm using on machines will be good also for IMAQdx, or againg, if i use IMAQdx i will have to pay a new runtime licence for every machine that now it's working?
I hope You (NI) will think a lot before make us pay to include something that now it's free, only to be "included".
Also think about backward compatibility (all the work made till now to use usb cameras).
Many Greetings

To use IMAQdx you have to have a valid license. The old NI-IMAQ is free but does not support anything but NI hardware. IMAQdx supports NI hardware, IEEE-1394 hardware (Firewire), Camera Link and in the next release DirectX (USB) cameras.
The IMAQ for USB Webcam driver was a completely seperate project. Apparently it was a pet project of some NI developer (Brad?) which was made available to the community free of charge with limited support. With the inclusion of USB support into IMAQdx I would guess that support for the IMAQ for USB Webcam driver will probably stop entirely.

Hi Brad,
could you please tell me what else is wrong. I am using a Sony EVI-D100P cam and it is DirectShow compatible. With VLC Player it works fine but only not with LabView.
Thanks
Mark
