It should be pretty obvious whether you are using the USB-GPIB,HS - http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/201586

All software is listed under National Instruments when you try to remove it.

Under the start menu under the LabVIEW menu do you see a 488.2 menu? If you don't have this menu under the start menu under the LabVIEW menu you need to install the 488 driver. If you see the 488.2 and your 488 hardware is not working you need to uninstall it and install the 488 driver that came with your hardware.

Start menu
National Instruments
LabVIEW
NI-488.2

If this is these run the "GPIB troubleshooting utility"
It should see your 488 hardware otherwise your driver needs to be changed

The software installed is listed in MAX. It is not something you will see in a LabVIEW menu.
