I try to install it but during the installation this msg figure "

the ni-488.2M software is not correctly installed on this computer. plz run the ni-488.2M software setup program from your distribution disk. once the software is properly installed on your computer then you can use ibconf to view and modify your GPIP setting"

Please provide some details. What version are you trying to install? Did you uninstall all NI software first?

Hello,

What's the OS were you using before Win 7?

I'm going to upgrade my OS from XP to Win 7.  I'm using PXI box, NI8.5, and TestStand 4.0.

I'm trying to read all the posts  that are relating to Win 7 before I proceed mine and running a cross yours.

Thanks

I really don't understand what you've done. You have to install NI-488. Installing NI-VISA alone is senseless with the driver for the GPIB controller..

Now this becomes a different question got "NI Serial" installed? Can you see it's presence in either start menu or NI MAX?
